Glengarry-Prescott-Russell is a riding that lies partially within the Greater Ottawa area.

Politics[]

Although a very liberal riding, in the 2006 Election, the Conservatives took the seat in an upset victory. Pierre Lemieux, the Conservative candidate, won the riding only 220 votes ahead of the Liberals, making Glengarry-Prescott-Russell one of the closest ridings in Canada.

Glengarry-Prescott-Russell was the riding of Don Boudria, former member of the Liberal Rat Pack and former Government House Leader under Jean Chretien. However, Don Boudria decided not to run in 2006.
